I would like to upgrade my CPU and motherboard in the upcoming months, and while i haven't yet settled on which exact CPU model i'll get, i'm set on getting a lga 1700 CPU, like an i5-12600k for example. Choosing the CPU is something i can do on my own, but what i'd like feedback on is for the motherboard.
I currently have DDR4 ram at 2666mhz, and the main reason i'm going with this cpu socket and not AMD (since a 7600 is around the same price range as the 12600k for example) is that i can save money by not having to buy DDR5 ram. Knowing that, i went onto pcpartpicker to check the different motherboards compatible with my RAM and the 12600k, and.. I'm not really sure how to find a good motherboard, apart from just checking the top rated one.
I came across the MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4, and it seems to be pretty good: compatible with my RAM, the CPU i want, a good number of USB ports, wifi, bluetooth, not overly expensive... From what I'm seeing, it seems really good, but i'm not sure if there could be potential issues, or if there are any better boards at the same price range.
My criterias are just to have around the same number of USB ports/nvme slots, with wifi and bluetooth support if possible. I do not care for RGB, and the form factor (ATX, micro ATX...) isn't an issue since my case supports all the common ones. Is there anything better out there (that's not way more expensive), or should i just get this model?
