So I've narrowed it down to two cpus in my price range (100-200$)
And the two cpus im seeing the most are.

AMD: FX 8320
Intel: i5 4590

I've done research on both and they both have pros and cons such as intel being easier to upgrade down the road and better per core performance. And AMD like better for budget gaming builds. Easier to OC has some better specs.

But im torn on which road to take with my budget gaming build.
Heres the mobos for both
AMD: Gigabyte GA 970A UD3p
Intel: ASRock H97 Anniversary.

Any suggestions are appreciated,
Thanks.

In most scenarios the i5 will be the better pick, if youre a streamer then the 8 core could net you more usage there, but if youre serious about streaming and not just doing it casually then only an i7 (higher end: 4790k or x99) should be of use to you in the most demanding games.

Personally I like AMD because of how easy and well you can overclock their chips usually. The Intel chip will beat out the AMD is most things unless whatever you are doing really favors have a lot of cores. So in your case since you are building a "gaming" pc i would go with the intel chip. Plus if you go with intel it will be easier to upgrade down the road. Hope that helps 😀

if overclocking there will be alot less performance differences. and if going to run the rev 2 board that is 8+2, therefor would have no issues running that amd processor 4.0 stock fan, 4.6 with hyper evo 212, and up to 5.0ghz with decent water cooler. therefore you would be able to go bit further if your doing other things as well, if not planning to overclock (hangs head to cry), go with I....N...T...E....L........blah I can't believe I said that 🙁
