well I put in the other 2gb to give me a total of 4, ended ALL processes. I got a score of 13214. that seems about right...right?

this is with EVERYTHING at default. NOTHING was overclocked.....yet........so I think I found my problem

my mcfee was KILLING me

Haha! This is why I preach against background processes and extra programs. I don't use anti-virus software. It's a GIMICK! A virus slows you down, the program to get rid of the virus slows you down. Fresh OS install = thanx. If you're careful about where you surf, you won't find yourself on the rocks with your OS bleeding. Screw virus programs. The same companies probably write and release viruses, just so they can get paid to "clean" them up. They just prey on the uneducated consumer.

My little LAN party system has a socket 939 3000+ processor. I don't install ANYTHING on it I don't need. Single 150 gig raptor drive, and 2 gigs of good DDR ram and I'm set. 500w PSU ensures I can upgrade my PCI-E card to nearly anything I want as this mATX system draws so little power. I could toss in an 8800GTX if I wanted probably. But my 7600GT will do fine for a lil longer. 😛 I'll be boosting my primary home system first and finishing off my HTPC.

Nice. 🙂 I met a pro on StarCraft who can get like 300fps with Terran. He forms his goliaths in an arc when he fires, and you can't hardly even attack one of them with your units before he's already microing it back. Heh. I had a friend on Halo2 on Xbox live that would efficiently kill about everyone he came across, even if it was 3 guys. He'd run around and grenade weapons to himself. It was sik. But then I look at someone like Michael Jordan with his moves in the air and I realize that everyone has their specialty. Cept me. I tend to be a jack of all trades and master of nothing. Oh well, I'm "well rounded" :roll:

I guess you can call me " well rounded" also. im REALLY good at bf2 ( ranked 8th in the world ) BUT im ok at other games. like a normal joe blow. then real sports im good all around, not excellant at one and shitty at another lol

That's how I am. I do ok in sports, but I didn't grow up playing one all my life. I'm 6'7" and everyone wants to know why I'm not pro or something. Height doesn't make you good at basketball just like being short and asian doesn't mean you'd be great at Karate.

I grew up playing soccer and by the time I realized I liked basketball I'd grown so fast I lost all my coordination. Couple that with breaking my ankle on the growth plate my sophomore yr of HS while playing basketball and having the ligaments and everything not heal up right until I was out of HS...yeah. It hurt just to walk a year and a half later sometimes.

I already know when im getting it. feb 15th is when I get the board and proc.

I also have extra mushkin memory lying around if anyone is interested. I will also have the 2.4 core 2 up soon also.

That's still Core2Duo isn't it? I was talking about the QX6700. 😛 Still, if you have a Core2Duo processor for sale that hasn't been ruined by OCing...I'll buy it.

I only OC'ed it for one 3dmark test. an that was only 10% on the fsb, now its all back to default!!!
