Need help selecting a PSU for GTX 770

I'm doing the first upgrade of my desktop PC. I'm wanting to upgrade my graphics card from the Raedon 6670 to the GTX 770. My current PSU is only 300W so I know I need to upgrade it. I'm stuck with the dozens of options I have for a PSU. Here is my full spec sheet:

Processor: i7-2600 @ 3.4GHz
RAM: 8GB
OS: Win 7, 64bit
PC: HP H8-1140t

I'm looking to spend right at $400 for the new graphics card and the PSU. I found the 770 on Amazon for $309. Do I go to a 600w PSU or do I get something around 750-800w for future proofing purposes? PC is connected to my living room TV so I use it to watch cable, movies and play the occasional video game. Appreciate the help!

Well if u can ofc go for something like Corsair TX 850w (i own it myself). It will give u plenty of headroom for overclocking both gpu and cpu and if u'll go with SLI in the future.

The HP H8-1140t's motherboard doesn't support SLI mode anyway because it only has one PCIe x16 slot.

As long as the system power supply has a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 37 Amps or greater and has at least one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors it should be sufficient.

The EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650G (120-PG-0650-GR) is based on the FSP Aurum CM AU-650M and inherently suffers from the same problems.

• The +5V rail whose voltage sags below the ATX12V permissible level of 4.75 volts at high loads.

• It has poor fan speed regulation which makes them too noisy (i.e. uses linear fan speed regulation instead of the preferred proven dual-zone fan speed regulation).
