Need Help to Overclock

Hey. I am currently running a PII 400 on a Appolo Shuttle Motherboard with 160 meg PC100 Ram with a SBLive and a 3500 Voodoo card. I was going to upgrade my system later this year but I wanted to try and push this system to its limits. I have looked alot of places on the net for information, but since this system is a bit old I can't find reliable info. I wanted to overclock both the processor and the video card as much as I safely can do. Any information leading to this would be most helpful.

Thanks guys and gals.

Well overclocking that setup can be done, but you will not gain much. But in order to know how or what needs to be done, we need to know exactly the motherboard you have, not just Shuttle Apollo. The apollo probably means it is a VIA chipset, but which one? Another thing that will hold you back is the memory you have, PC100. Most PC100 sticks will run in the 110-120mhz range, and thats OK, but you could get you CPU to run at 533mhz with PC133 memory and a motherboard that will run at the 133mhz FSB. The Voodoo 3500 video card is also very sensitive to PCI bus speed, so overclocking to far will cause the video card to become unstable, and lock the system. If the mobo you have is capable, I really mean support, the 133mhz FSB than get some PC133 memory as cheap as it is and up the FSB to 133mhz, getting you 533mhz.
