Need help to program TV using universal control

I have a 2007 Toshiba color stream television which I LOVE and I'm not getting rid of it for a cheap flat screen. And why should I ?? it doesn't require a cable or antenna to view 5 digital channels it's FREE!! So now I want to use my Sony universal remote control because I lost the Toshiba remote. However, I'm having difficulty holding down the set, TV, and code number buttons at the same time. Is there an easier way? I have arthritis in my fingers and frankly I'm just frustrated. I would SO appreciate some help with this Thank you!

Which universal remote model is it? For example

does not seem to require holding down 3 buttons at the same time. I'm not sure this is your remote though.

I am using Sony commander RM-VZ 220 and I just found the right code numbers. Sony has the remotes and the codes and instructions. So I did it! Whew! Sometimes you just have to walk away.. THANK YOU!!
