My computer died on me while watching some video on my tv and playing a game on facebook. Just blinked out. Thought it was the PSU since the old one failed the paperclip test. Replaced the PSU (which passes paperclip test) and still have nothing. Before I call this dead--does anyone have and other suggestions. So far I have tried

Removing GPU and tried to power up
Jiggles all the power connectors, sata, and other connectors and tried to power up
remove sata from HD...

I don't get any beeps and as far as I know there are no lights on the MB to light up.

I'm a relative newb, so I don't know what else I should do. Suggestions appreciated and let me know what else is needed that could be helpful

Sounds like time for last rites.

It sounds like the power supply died, and sounds like it may have taken some part of the motherboard with it.

You can try removing the RAM and attempting to boot. I wouldn't hold out much hope.

I presume the fans don't spin?

If you could possibly try another power supply I would if I were you, otherwise it is likely that the failed power supply has damaged the motherboard which unfortunately is not an uncommon occurrence. It is unlikely that the failing power supply has damaged any other component.

stuck the new power supply in the old puter and it works--no cash for anything new----nothing like blowing $150 on a new PSU for a dead puter

replaced a 250w 13A PSU with the new 650w 54A--gross
