Guys,

I have been having this issue for a while now and i havent been able to pinpoint what the actual issue is, and i do like to dig around by my self but i decided is time to bring this to you guys and try to find some helo.

This is what happens:

Several times each hour (recurrently enough to be annoying), it seems my USB ports (just a wild guess) start acting up and the next things can happen, not necesearily both at the same time:

*My mouse (wireless with a USB adapter) freezes for a bit (a couple seconds) then goes back to normal - really annoying when gaming. (Windows doesnt do any sound related to an USB device being unplugged)
*My headset HS60 Corsair (connected through its USB sound adapter) does a little crackling sound and then 2 things can happen right after that:
People listening to me on discord o any other communication app, listens to me on a very high pitch (chipmunk like) - it can be fixed inmmediatily by unpluging and pluging back the USB adaptor.
My sound starts sounding really weird (this is very rare compared to the high pitch issue like 5% to 95% of the time)

I suspect there could be some power issue related because of the crackling sound my headset does when it happens, sounds like electricity related.
Heres my build:

Windows 11
CPU Intel i7 13700
32 gb ram
Asus gforce RTX3070 Ti
Mobo Asus TUF gaming z690-plus
PSU InWin Pseries 75 80plus gold 750w

Everything else on my PC seems to be working properly, no overheating nor weird sounds or anything.
Anyone as any clue on what the issue could be and how to fix it?

32 gb ram
Got a link to the ram kit used?

Asus TUF gaming z690-plus
BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

Windows 11
Did you let the OS install drivers it thinks is right for your build? If so, bring up Device Manager and see if there are any components flagged with a yellow exclamation mark.

InWin Pseries 75 80plus gold 750w
How old is the PSU?

Intel i7 13700
How are you cooling that processor?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Start by opening the Control Panel app and check the Power Options to make sure that everything is set for maximum power and any of the power saving options are disabled. Then open the Device Manager and check the Power Management option for every usb related device to make sure that the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device..." is NOT checked.

I experienced similar behavior although all input was freezing not just the mouse and it came down to my Ram kit. Even though it was a 2x16 matched kit the timings were different, when I manually set the timings in BIOS to match my issues went away. Just my experience, Good Luck

My power plan was set to balanced, changed it to high performance. All my usb already had this option ticked off when i went through a different troubleshooting for my issue.

Will let you guys now if the power plan makes a diff.
