So I have a X570 AORUS ELITE with realtek HD audio on it. recently I did a round of updates for all the drivers and the bios for it. Somehow I ended up with the Realtek Audio Console software on my PC and I tried to see if anything in there could help enable some noise reduction for my headphones since the option was gone from the windows sound settings and I wanted to get rid of sound bleeding into the microphone. I did fiddle with setup in Realtek Audio Console, it was letting me set up the headphones as all kinds of things including 5.1 surround sound, I poked at things to test the sound along with 3D virtualization.
Some time later I noticed the sound was now in mono, as in the same sound plays out of both ears, almost like it was being used as a center speaker. This happens with my headphones, it happens with my speakers, both front and back jack. The Realtek Audio Console no longer gives me any option to tweak the sound setup. If I mess with the balance setting I can get sound on the left or right only so final output is not the issue. Something somewhere is causing the sound to get converted to mono along the way, like I said, probably trying to make it a center speaker. Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this?
Some extra info, I'm not even sure how I got the Realtek Audio Console software in the first place, it's nearly impossible to get it now. I uninstalled it to see if it would help and then the only way I could get it back was through a hidden windows store page, so I don't think there's hope for any kind of support from realtek/Gigabyte itself.
