Need Help Upgrading 8350 rx480

Hello fellow PC enthusiasts! I'm new to building computers, and am seeking guidance. Last week I purchased a:
CyberPowerPc

(I'm feeling preyty jipped' right now being they dropped the price again.)

I'm wanting to upgrade. I play World of Warcraft and I can not get 60fps+ on ultra... I heard the game is a CPU hog. I have the 8350 on the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 mobo. If i get an Intel CPU do i need a whole new mother board and ram, or could I just get a better graphics card say the nVIDIA GTX 1070, and keep my current mobo&cpu. Idk what's trash really and whats good. Please please lead me in the right direction to having a top end computer.

I think I'd like to get a second opinion here, but it looks like your GPU is at 100% load, is at full clockspeed, and temperature is reasonable. However looking at the GPU load history graph, it's generally very low, and even though it's reading 100% load on a 150w card, power draw is ~72w. Something looks odd.

Are you running the latest display drivers? Does this happen if you're fullscreen (not fullscreen windowed)?

It could well be a software issue in this case. You might try reinstalling Windows before replacing all of the innards of your PC, to see if that improves things.

Okay, Well i've decided I want to upgrade the lot. Now this will be my first time. I currently don't have a disk drive, nor does my case support an internal one, when getting the new motherboard/cpu etc i'll need to intsall drivers via disk? If I got a usb disk drive would it boot from a fresh install?

Also is there even higher end builds I can do from the builds you shared? Maybe a step or two up. I want a motherboard at least that can support new stuff when it comes out with some nice features and a interfaced bios (not necessary though). I want the mobo to least have another couple pci slots for ssd, extra storage, wifi & another GPU. Something that will get my by for a while.

Lead me the right way would ya? I want to start purchasing the needed things.

I also plan on purchasing the 1070 and giving away my current rx 480.

Basically I want a really good mother board. I mean a good one.

A good cpu with good single core, and multi core processing. (I don't want to make the same mistake and have a motherboard limiting my upgrades.) I just want to have anb option to upgrade the cpu even further without having to upgrade motherboards again.

If you switch to Intel, you will obviously need to change the mobo but it will depend on which socket you will use to determine if you need to switch RAM or not, skylake CPUs are DDR4 or DDR3L which means that you will need to switch out your RAM which is currently DDR3 since the FX series uses DDR3 RAM. So it depends on what CPU you are getting...

So the motherboard doesn't affect the type of ram?? Just the cpu? I want a mobo that can handle the best of cpus. And I want to start with a decent cheap upgrade to cpu, but down the rod get a top top end cpu that the mobo can support.

Sorry for the wait, this might be too late already but if it's not...

keep in mind, putting ddr3 RAM in a DDR3L or DDR4 motherboard can break the motherboard or trying to fit suppose a LGA 1150 CPU into a LGA 1151 socket will break the CPU.

If you want a budget build with the LGA1151 socket which can take in 6th gen I3s, I5s, or I7s, pick up a gigabyte or MSI motherboard for under $100 with a I3-6100, you can also pick up 8gb of DDR4 RAM for around $50 or if you can stretch your budget to $100, go for 16Gb RAM since it will be more than enough for gaming. You can use the LGA 1150 socket which supports DDR3 RAM which means you can reuse your current RAM in your build as of now, I don't know too much about the LGA 1150 socket but I heard that an I5-4460 is a good CPU for the LGA1150 socket. I would suggest the LGA1151 socket over the LGA1150 socket if you have the money since DDR4 RAM is more future-proof than DDR3 RAM. But getting a LGA1151 build will be quite a bit expensive over a LGA1150 build since all you have to do is again just reuse your DDR3 RAM rather than buying entirely new RAM.

Also I wouldn't stay in the AM3+ socket unless if you are going to overclock your 8350, I would say that the 8370 is the max you can go without wasting your money but I only can suggest that only if you have a phenom or FX-6300/FX-4300. You can get an AM3+ motherboard that can handle overclocking well to get CPU performance. I am only bringing this up if you have a very tight budget and for some reason only can stay with AMD Excavator cores.

If you have a great budget, get an I7-6700k with a great LGA1151 motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 RAM will still be enough.

overall, the first suggestion is for a medium budget, the second one is for a very low budget or if you have multiple programs that are good with 8-cored processors, and the last suggestion is if you are rich or have a very healthy budget.
