Need help upgrading current PC Rig

Hi, I'm currently trying to upgrade my 3 year old gaming rig. I have roughly $700 to invest in optimal component upgrades from my current specs. I'm looking for the most optimal compatible build for the following current components:

CPU- Intel Core i5-4570 @3.20GHz
RAM- 8GB DDR3
GPU- GeForce GTX 760
Motherboard- ASRock H81M-HDS

I greatly appreciate any advice and help!

For $800, getting a whole new system will be good. But what is your current pc? If it was an top tier pc, upgrading the cpu would not be that good of an upgrade at all.

I see no point in having a haswell build, You already have a good enough amount of money to get a skylake build. Please consider.

For $800, getting a whole new system will be good. But what is your current pc? If it was an top tier pc, upgrading the cpu would not be that good of an upgrade at all.

just get a good graphics card. The rest of your system is good and will not bottleneck
eventually another 8gb of RAM. (2x8GB and sell the old ram)

Some more information please, what are you using it for and what wattage is your Power supply? If gaming a 1000 series card would be a good choice, SSD is always a good choice and potentially more RAM.

Get a GTX 1070, an Samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD and EVGA G2 550w graphics card. Will give you best bang for your buck. You can also get a new case if current one is old and not so sexy......

I appreciate the advice and help, I ended up changing a few things and got the following today. I was able to use two different newegg accounts and apply the paypal $25 off promo code to both of my orders so saving $50 total. All this for $506:

Good choices. You could just buy a single 8gb ram stick but whatever.
Decent power supply choice. That unit is made by Seasonic. Going with 1060 is kinda low considering you could fit a 1070 in your budget. But more than suffice for 1080p gaming.
