Hello! tldr I need a better CPU but the one I want (i7) does not fit my motherboard. I've been trying to research it myself but with my knowledge I might as well buy a new pc but I cant spend 4k. thankyou for any advice or help
my current set up is

Processor: AMD FX6300 6core
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-7BLMT-USB3
Ram: PNY 3x8GB (24gb)
Graphics(video) Card: GeForce GTX1070
CPU Cooler: ??? DeepCool brand (lost model info)
Hard Disk: Samsung SSD 870 QVO 2TB
Power supply: Corsair CX750M
case: ??? Brand Cyberpowerpc (Model: C Series) ? (dimensions allow 11.5x12.5in) full internals is around 17x22x7.5(horizontal lengthxHeigthxWidth)
extra storage: SEAGATE SRD0NF 1 (1TB)
Preferred price is 2k or lower, and keeping part replacements to a minimum specifically the GPU, and hard disk.

I was vague about the i7 specific details as I am not aware of how the generations and editions effect performance but please assume I'm reffering to a more modern model/gen that is easy to access as I am hoping to have these shipped in as soon as possible

I am aware that upgrading to i7 requires a new motherboard, DDR4, cpu sink and cpu fan (im fine with the estimate price thus far(5items)), will these upgrades need a more powerful power supply?

there is alot of i7 series, from gen 1 to gen 12 for now.

You need to list your budget, where do you live, and what is the full pc specs (list all parts brand and model).

Brand and model? Or post a picture of the case.

Brand and model? Or post a picture of the label that's on the PSU.

hello and thank you for your time, I turned my pc off to take afew photos of the unlisted items.
case brand is CYBERPOWERPC. There are a lot of numbers on different stickers for the case some being Model C Series, ET6320-1100 and MCYB551KWYNCY1162900573. none of which seem to be an accurate descriptor of the case>
and the power source is Corsair CX750M (if that's not it then the box also says MODEL: 75-002019 and part nmbr: CP-9020061/75-002019)

This build will allow you to run that cpu with the power limits turned off in the bios. It's a round a bout way of o/c those cpu's as it keeps them in turbo boost mode longer.

Considering what you have on hand...

I would keep the SSD, PSU, GPU. The case is up to you if you like it.

Would upgrade to a new R5 5600X, select a decent B550 motherboard and some RAM.
You might get by with your OS license according to how you got it.

Save money for a better GPU to replace the 1070. Do the PSU at the same time.
