Your CPU is quite good, and 8 gb ram is still enough in todays games. The only thing you will need to upgrade is your graphics card. If you go with a 750 ti you will be able to reach 30 fps in demanding games like the witcher 3 on medium and high settings. In other games like cod and battlefield you will reach 60 fps, although not on max settings. On any card better than that you will need to upgrade your Power supply. What is your budget?

Your Motherboard doesn't get you better performance. It decides what parts you can use, but you already have a very good CPU that's good enough for any game. Since you don't know the name your motherboard, you could download something like HW Monitor. That will tell you what model it is. As for a new gpu, do you want to be able to reach those 60fps while completely maxing the settings? What would be your budget?

Rhelmar1 , sorry i voted down your answer, i was looking for some button to quote but accodentally pressed the voting button, sorry about that, oh about the mobo, the model is gigabyte gaz68ap d3, yes 60 fps at least on high or medium setting mate, around 500 to 700 including monitor

Your best option would be to wait for the gtx 1070. The aftermarket cards will probably cost around 400$. Leaving you enough money to get a 144hz 1080p monitor. You will be able to max everything out and still get well above 100 fps.
