So I have 240$ to spend on upgrading some things for my pc on amazon (I have gift cards). Here are the things I have in my cart right now:

-----212 evo red led
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KBXKP8W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 -----212 evo red led

-----G Skill 8gb ram
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I763AW/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2D6O8U4XOTC9L

-----250gb samsung ssd
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OAJ412U/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

-----Artic MX-4 thermal paste
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045JCFLY/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I have about $30 left and im not sure if there is anything that I should spend wisely with the $30, like getting a slightly better ssd, or just buy whatever ie toolkit.

******What I already have
i5 4590
EVGA GTX 970 ssc
8gb g skill ripjaws 1600 (2x4)
z97x gaming 5 ( i know i dont have an unlocked cpu, it was gifted )
1 tb wd green
stock cooler cringe
plain optical drive

Depending on where you are you could also save some money on CPU cooler. http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/power-supplies/lc-cc-120/ is just as good as CM 212 or slightly better but usually considerably cheaper. Pinch some money here and ther and with that 30 bucks you could go for cheaper but larger SSD. Those Samsung SSDs are among most expensive but not much better than rest. I'm very satisfied with my Silicon Power s70 which is 240GB for lesser price and maybe you could put that extra savings toward a 480GB model.

Okay, so if i changed out the cooler, id save some money. Would you think 8gb or ram is fine, because if I just forgot about the extra ram here, I could also put that towards a better ssd as well

8GB should be OK on that machine but more wouldn't hurt. It really depends on what you do with your computer. I was getting by with 8GB for few years and only time I needed more was when using Virtual Machines and re-coding large video files. Seems that 2GB per core is sweet spot.

Im at university, so im either on some office program, playing pubg, or on chrome. The only reason I was eyeing more ram was the fact that chrome dominates 75% of my ram in itself with multible tabs, but it never hits max
