i have an i3 4160 with gtx 750 ti

should i upgrade the CPU or GPU first to see an improvement in performance?

thinking of upgrading to i5 4590 and gtx 970/960

if i upgrade gpu first then il upgrade cpu in 1 month time
if i upgrade cpu first then il upgrade gpu in 1 month time

i play at 1080p, usually games like gta 5/rust/far cry 4/primal/blackops 3/bf4/madmax /assasins creed

It might in some games, but put it this way: your performance won't be any worse than the 750Ti, it'll still be better.

Agreed with turkey then, also with an i3 you will hit the 60fps without problem, and after upgrading you CPU.
