So I have this computer that im looking to upgrade to make it more gaming fit. Im looking for upgrades that will do simple things like allow me to play League of Legends on High settings and get some good FPS on games like Minecraft and Fallout NV. Here are the specs, in particular im looking to upgrade the graphics card and the processor if possible. Looking at a budget of about $200. Processor: AMD E1-1500. Ram: 6 GB of DDR3. Hard Drive: 500 GB. Graphics Card: Raedon HD 7310 Graphics. If you need any other specs let me know, and if possible tell me how to find them. Here is a link to the computer. Like I said im not looking for some monster pc that can run BF4 on Ultra, just run League on High with 60+FPS and other simple games. http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/DT.GEPAA.002

I'm going to break this down into Good News and Bad News.

The Good News is you can always save money and buy/build a computer.

The Bad News is your computer is very low end and is going to be troublesome to upgrade. The processor you have has a BGA413 socket which isn't common among desktops (E1-1500). It is more common among laptops. Now, you may be able to find a processor like the E1-1800 or E1-2000 and use it in the motherboard you have. However, I doubt you will be please with the performance as I don't think there will be much if any change when gaming.

Continuing, the GPU you have is integrated which sucks. You would need to buy a discrete GPU in order to have any performance increase. This poses more problems. Your case is very small and won't be able to fit a lot of GPUs. Moreover, your PSU (power supply) is only 220w. You would also have to buy a power supply which again would be a problem as most again won't fit in the case you have.

Sadly, I'm going to say it just isn't worth upgrading your computer. You need some mainstream parts in order to upgrade. Save some money and buy/build one for $500 which will play Minecraft and LOL very well.
