Need help w. Display or lack of

I apologize in advance if this isn't the right place to post this - navigating this site on mobile is a pain and I'd use my laptop if it wasn't being a POS.

Speaking of POS, I've just pressed the power button on said laptop and all I have is a b&w screen with some lines and it even comes with what looks like a crack. I thought for a moment I kicked the laptop at some point in my sleep and cracked the screen but that is not the case. Can't really do anything as far as pushing the power button since nothing is visible.

Also I absolutely no nothing about computers, electronics, etc so I haven't the faintest idea why this has happened. It was working fine just a mere 7 hrs ago.

First I would check the images below to see if your screen matches or closely matches your fault it maybe a broken lcd panel.
