Need help w Nikon S6000

I bought a new memory card for my Nikon S6000 however, it will give the reading that this card can't be used. The card is identical to the previous one, who h i want to save as it has all of the last pic my mom took before her passing. Plz tell me is there some way to correct this problem? I've tried everything I can think of!! Plz help!

I'm confused. How does a brand new SD card have the last pic your mom ever took on it?

You can insert the card into a laptops SD card slot, or use an external card reader, and run Photorec on the SD card.
