Hi everyone,

I’m currently stuck with my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX, and I’m looking for some help. Here’s my setup:
- Motherboard: B650 Aorus Elite AX V2
- CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2×16 GB DDR5 6000 MHz CL30
- PSU: EVGA 850W Gold+
- GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX

The issue:

When I plug in my RX 7900 XTX:
- Windows won’t boot, and I get no video signal, even if I try using the iGPU through the motherboard’s video port.
- The GPU seems to completely block the system from booting.
- If I remove the GPU, Windows boots normally using the iGPU.

Hypothesis:
I suspect the GPU BIOS might be corrupted or damaged, and I’d like to flash it to try and fix the issue.

What I’ve tried so far:
- Replugging all cables, including the PCIe power cables.
- Ensuring the 8-pin connectors are properly attached.
- Trying to boot with the GPU alone or with the iGPU only.
- Setting the PCIe port to Gen 3 in the BIOS.

What I’m looking for:
1 - How to flash my card without Windows.
2 - If the problem is something else.

This is a very stressful situation given the price of the GPU, and I’ve been trying to resolve it for days without success. I’d greatly appreciate any help or suggestions to solve this problem.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

- Motherboard: B650 Aorus Elite AX V2
What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

- PSU: EVGA 850W Gold+
EVGA is the brand of the unit while 8560W is the advertised wattage of the unit and Gold+ is the advertised 80+ efficiency rating. What is the model of the unit? Are you recycling the PSU from an older build? If so, please mention the age of the unit.

- Ensuring the 8-pin connectors are properly attached.
Are you using any daisychained/pigtail connectors?

I suspect the GPU BIOS might be corrupted or damaged, and I’d like to flash it to try and fix the issue.
If the GPU is brand new, you RMA it, instead of tinkering with it as soon as you got it out of the box.
