im only looking to get the cpu, motherboard, memory ram, powersupply and wether the video is integrated or card type, im not exactly a computer person so of course im having trouble with this investment but i really need to update already, i currently have a pentium 4 2.8ghz ,1gm ram and gforce 6600LE 256 ram pretty old stuff haha 😀 as i said not computer person, i finally got the chance to save up some money and no i wont wait till i get more money i want to build it now, i already have a hd, and im getting the case outside the budget , i got the os too and everything else just what i listed is what i need to know if its right, please help me 😀?

$300 is not much to deal with and any solutions arent going to be "ideal"

the a10 + 8gb of ram would fulfil the role of a low end gaming pc decently and the extra 4gb of ram over the other builds will certainly help. 4gb of ram is pretty light for any gaming build as 8gb is standard.

in terms of performance the 250 and a10 really are not far apart though some suggest the g3258+250x combo will beat out an a10 in performance.

the g3258 may offer a slightly better upgrade path but you'll want more ram at a minimum. i dont expect the performance differences as is to be much different though.

i know 300 is not much for a "gaming computer" but is it possible to obtain what i want ? i guess im aware i wont be able to play current games on high settings but to atleats medium sounds good enough considering the money im gonna invest, so would you say that my original option is duable and its the way i should take considering durability and performance, or should i just take either of the other two i got suggested recently ? yes i know 4gb is just tight but at least its what i could get for now, so lets just stick with the scenario im presenting thanks for the reply by the way.

well...

the 3258 is socket 1150 which is compatible with 4th gen intel cpus. this means that in the future you can step up to a much better chip and it provides a more upgradeable platform. of course you would need to plan for it by having a decent power supply and the step up to a better cpu would essentially mean you are going to lose the money you spent on the g3258. by upgrading the gpu and cpu though you could end up with a fairly decent computer if you ever got the cash.

you will want 8gb not 4gb of ram regardless.

with the a10 you're abit stuck. the fm2 socket is for apus and X cpus only and the a10 is the best of the apus. the amd fx cpus use the different am3+ socket so there is no upgrading. the best you would be able to do is dual-graphics with another amd graphics card which would give you a boost but still never give you more than a low-medium level rig.

which is best for you? that depends on your future plans. the intel is more upgradeable.

i dont plan on upgrading this build for a really long time, so i guess my choice would be the original which was the a10 with the integrated graphs, 8gb ram , is good right ? i mean considering the money im going to invest.
