Need help setting up bios. I have everything setup but it says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. I went into bios and hit F7 for the "Load optimized defaults". So when it says selected boot device does it mean like a flash drive with the operating system on it because I don't have a optical disk for this PC.

It sounds like you just built a PC and are trying to get it to boot.

In the BIOS, you'll need to find the boot devices and set wherever you're installing windows from as the #1 device. Also, make sure that your hard drive is on the list. But for the purposes of OS installation, you need the source of that data as #1 during install.

I went to the boot options but the only thing listed is the hard drive. Are you saying if im going to install os through usb, do I need to plug it in open bios and it'll show up in the boot order list?
