Hello,
So I just finished my first desktop build. I have MSI Z87-G41 mobo and Intel i5 4670K cpu. I am still wating for my graphic card to be deliverd so for now I am using the integrated graphic Intel HD 4600. I assembled my pc, installed win 7 from OEM DVD, installed mobo drivers from a CD that came along with my mobo, flashed the BIOS and updated all available drivers using MSI live update 5. Until this point everything worked fine except my Norton 360 found and blocked a threat "MSI ramdrive installer", said it was "suspicious cloud 7" or something. After I updated my Win 7 using Windows Update, however, I got BSOD at startup. It showed:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP:0x0000000A (0x0000000000000000,0x0000000000000002,0x0000000000000001,0xFFFFF80002E7FC3F)
I was able to start Windows in safe mode and used system restore to get my system back to the point before Win 7 update and everything was working fine again.
I checked Windows event viewer and found a bunch error around the time I got BSOD but I cannot narrow it down to which one acutally caused the BSOD.
I checked my ram using windows memory diagnostic tool. No problem was found.
I disabled Windows auto update and my pc seems working fine now. But windows update shows there's 140+ updates wating to be installed and I really dont wanna just ignore them. Can anyone help me find the cause of the BSOD? Thanks!
