Need help with buying a gpu

I have a 8800gt. it is good for some 720p gaming (i have a 1280x1024 monitor). but performance on linux is awful. iwould like if any of you guys could recommend me a good gpu (from nvidia) for around 70$. i cannot buy from ebay only my local used web shop. (i need it to be used to get better performance for dollar)

and in the future i will probably change my mind, because i think i will have to switch to windows again.
