I haven't been able to find any good reviews on these drives - so I always go with a major name brand memory manufacturer. Two other inmportant things to check and compare - read and write speeds (there can be major differences) and features, particularly security such as PW protection and software for synching memory, backup, or storing online passwords, depending on planned use and preferences.

i do not care much about the software, since i ususally have some portable apps that I do use, If anything I am looking for a flash drive that does have a physical write protection switch,

so it would be impossible to get a relatively good flash drive for that $30/35 price range?

i ususally used PNY or memorex flash drives and they were quite ok.
