Hello all, I am looking to upgrade my graphics card, and new motherboard that is compatible with the new graphics card and my current processor and power supply. I have been and will continue to use the computer for Game Development. I have a budget of $200-$300 for upgrades so obviously I'm not looking to jump to the newest thing. Can anyone give some suggestions for what to buy, and I need it to work cause the last time I tried to update my graphics card to a GTX 550 Ti it wouldn't work.

My Current Computer is made of:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 975 Socket AM3

Motherboard: FOXCONN ALOE 1.01 BIO's are from 2009 not sure if can/need to update or not.?!

PSU: Fatal1ty Gaming Gear 750 Watts 80-Plus Bronze Certified

Graphics Card: Nvidia GT 220

Memory: 2 x 2GB chips and 2 x 4GB Chips

RAM: Western Digital 640GB HDD

No idea when I installed the ASUS GTX 550 Ti with one 6-Pin power connector my computer would turn on but nothing would come up on the monitor, So i bought a second 6-Pin Power connector and tried it with two 6-Pin power connectors and my computer wouldn't even turn on. Called ASUS tech support and NVIDIA tech Support and neither one could help me, so we determined it was a bad card so I sent it in for a replacement ASUS GTX 550 Ti and the second card did the same thing. The tech support guy from ASUS said he thought i had a faulty PSU, but its brand new.???? maybe its the PSU????

Thanks again for all the help, Can finally get a nice graphics card.

Well when I only use one 6-Pin Connector my computer will turn on and boot up but nothing is displayed to the monitor, I tries deleting my old Graphics Cards drivers but it still didn't work, So i tried using two 6-Pin Connectors and my computer wouldn't even turn on then.
