Hi im having problems with my CPU overheating and turning off my pc when i try to play games or run editing and compressing programs like HandBrake if any of you know what that is, i have a MOTHERBOARD: SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX(TM)-9370 EIGHT-CORE PROCESSOR , With 16GB of RAM , and using CORSAIR LIQUID COOLING TX750, I looked up reasons why it might be doing this some people say its because its the liquid cooling but it seams to run fine the fan and liquid sound like there working, my CPU temperature is between 22c and 50c on idle screen goes up and down for some reason, i tried taking off the thermal paste and putting new on and still having the same problems when i play big games like Rome 2 total war and CIV 5 and using handbrake makes my CPU overheat in 5 minutes or so depends on the game and i always play on high but that shouldn't affect my CPU because the liquid cooling i spend almost over 2k on this pc for the hole purpose to make gaming videos for youtube but i cant run the games and programs to make the videos and get them ready to upload them please help D: .ps sorry for bad grammar. im using core temp to see cpu temperature and also want to add that this was a custom build and these are all new parts only had the pc for few months not even .

oh duh! That's awesome. Yeah I'm thinking push pull now. Take it easy :)

Sorry its not worse, as in it wont change the tempratures. But putting hot air back into the case is bad. My was is to put the fans under the rad and push it out since pushing will give greater coverage and stop the air coming back into the case. And having two fans going the same way wont help the air flow better, it just helps out the other fan if theres any resistance, which there really isnt. So better pressure, but not better air flow.

Yeah did a little reading and the Push/Pull actually brings Temps down a little by 5 degrees and that's on a 120mm Rad. I can't seem to find stats on 240mm. Yeah you would exhaust the air out although Corsair suggests fresh air going through rad but I don't think the Heat (It does get hot) blowing into the case would help anything like GPU which runs very hot or VRM's. I see your point though it doesn't do much. It's 5 degrees though and that would take me into the upper 60's instead of mid 70's .. giving me peace of mind.

Yeah I don't think I need push pull after all. I moved the case which was less than an inch under the cabinet on desk. Covered about half the top of case which was half the rad. Now it has nothing over top... huge difference. Playing Assassins Creed Black Flag and the Monitor was saying CPU was 77 c. I was thinking that was kinda normal with 9 series but considered sandwiching the rad with fans. Now that it's not congested on top it hasn't got past 68 c. Sooo much better. Guess it wouldn't be a good idea to use it as a coffee table.
