Need help with cpu really badly

I need help I bought a new cpu for my computer and I installed it with the fan and the display didn’t work so I went to these forums and I looked for a answer and someone said to do I cmos reset by removing the battery and waiting five minutes and putting it back in so I did that and that didn’t work so I put in my old cpu and tried to update the bios (forgetting that I reset them) and I don’t know what to do because my pc won’t display anything and also I went to cpu upgrade and it is compatible with my motherboard

What CPU and motherboard?

Does your old CPU work in the motherboard?

Are you sure that you used a BIOS that was compatible with your board when you did the upgrade, I mean where did you get it from?

My motherboard is a gigabyte GA-F2A68H-H and my new cpu is a AMD Athlon II A4 860k black edition

My old cpu also stopped working with my computer when and it’s display so I
cannot use when retried using it after putting it back it

I don’t think I my bios was fully upgraded

When you reset the CMOS did you follow the procedure on page 14 of the user manual.

Do you have your monitor plugged into the motherboard graphics or into an add on card.

Do you get any BIOS screen?

Do you have both power cables connected to mother board (4 pin near CPU and 24pin), do you see any lights?

No I don’t have the Manual anymore I looked it up on the internet

I’m using my motherboard graphics card

No I did not get the BIOS screen

And I have a 20 pin and a 4 pin

Wait no I figured it out I need a discrete or separate gpu thank you for the help
