I currently have a pair of Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones, and as the quality is so amazing, it has a lot of cons. For example, the wire is garbage. Always is tangled, and cannot fathom how annoying it is when I'm trying to straighten the cord out and accidentally rip out the USB cable. Also, when recording, bass has a muffled type sound - is not very good for me, as I like to record highlights of moments in games. The headphone pads are quite annoying, and hurt after awhile. And finally, the mic is complete garbage. So, it's time for a change.

I want something that has very good bass and overall sound quality comparable to the Razer Kraken. As I am a music producer, these headphones have really helped me with mixing and mastering as the sound quality is exquisite. I need a good wire, like the Logitech G430's for example. Comfort is a big thing too. Also, it cannot be over at least $150.

If anything pops into your mind that sounds something like what I want, or even close, shoot your shot! I am open minded to any responses.

I'd suggest the HyperX Cloud(1) if you're on analaog connections or the HyperX Cloud II if you want surround sound and on a USB driven soundcard. If you're getting a headset with a dedicated soundcard though you're going to have to look at analog connectivity as opposed to USB connectivity.

Might I ask what your system's specs look like? You don't suppose you would benefit from an audio interface and a professional headset/audio setup, now, do you?
