I recently purchased a used Intel e7500 processor!

It's kind of good, comparing to my prev buddy - Pentium e5700 that is...
...But I couldn't OC it properly...the reason why am here!

My build: P5QC (why not), 4 GB DDR3, <insert some generic Nvidia GPU, doesn't matter>

Some base numbers:
e5700 - 3.0 GHz / 2M / 800
e7500 - 2.93 GHz / 3M / 1066 (yay) 11 x 266 ...seems like important...

I pretty much did the same procedure with e7500 by slowly increasing bus speed...266-275-285-300(?)

The question (may not be obvious): can I achieve something better than what I have now?

I'm talking straight about overclocking, which I did...but I wasn't satisfied with the result, because my e5700 performed much better without so much fuss...

BIOS PICS LATER, Imgur is being very picky about quality of my posted content...therefore occurred lack of pics

seems your using an asus motheboard what model is, can you provide me your ram details?... Also are you getting no post or a "Overclock failure" message when goin up?

Mobo is ASUS P5QC, RAM is DDR3, but I'm not getting any errors...just want to know how much I can OC (I'm at 3.5 GHz now with simple bus step)

alright the best thing i can think for you right now to get best pefromance from ram cpu and fsb is try to change your multiplier from "11" to "9" and change fsb from "318" to "400". Then try to change your FSB strap to North Bridge from "Auto" to "400" if possible so you can change your dram frequency from "Auto" to "800" mhz and get the fsb/dram ration 1:1 which is the best perfomance you can get and your cpu speed will be on 3.6ghz which i think its on the gaps between 3.6-3.8 you can get max stable overclock if your pc successful boot ups reply

nevermind what i said i completely forgot you have ddr3 ram... can you get tell me exact your ram brand and model (can be found on cpu-z) so i can make some calculations for you to get the best stable possible overclock
