I have been having an issue lately gaming, as some games will freeze and crash to desktop with reliability history showing: "Fault Module Name: UnityPlayer.dll, Exception Code: c0000005"
This coincides with a memory issue when I shut windows down every night, it is fast on the screen, but along the lines of "the instruction at 0x00007ff referenced memory"
I am running the Gigabyte Z790 Aorus with an i7 14900k CPU and 48GB of Corsair DDR5 7200 RAM.
I ran memtest86, and it showed errors in the RAM so I purchased a new RAM kit to try to fix the problem but it is still happening. I have installed the RAM in slots A2 and B2, and also A1 and B1 but the error still happens when I shut Windows down.
Is this a software issue in Windows, or could the motherboard really have issues with all 4 memory slots? Anyone have a similar experience?
