Hello, a while ago i bought a budget ''Ryzen 3 2200G '' gaming pc. but after trying to play BF V on it i get around 55-70 fps ( really depends ) but some days its not going higher then 28-33. so i thought the 4 cores are the problem. so im thinking about upgrading my pc.

i was thinking about buying a AMD Ryzen 7 2700X since it has 8 cores and runs at around 3,7 Ghz. will this make it run better? ( i know i have to get a seperate graphic card )

my current build

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 Ghz ( looking to upgrade it with a Ryzen 7 2700X )

2x 8GB Hyper X Fury 3200Mhz
64 bit Win 10
BeQuit! PSU 300Watt ( will need to upgrade this one too )

graphics card : im thinking about getting a geforce-gtx-1050-ti

the problem is though. will the Geforce work on the AMD motherboard? and does anyone recommend anything else? my budget for this month is around ~450 Euro's

any help is appriciated. :)

I would go ahead and buy a GPU now, see about the CPU at a later time.

1050Ti is a little dated. Look at GTX1660 or higher. If you want to spend a good chunk on the GPU and save up more for a CPU, then you can look at things like the RTX2060 Super or RX5700.

Yes, Nvidia cards work in AMD systems.

@ScrewySqrl @Eximo Thank you both for the replies. ill go for the RX580 8GB its 20 euro's cheaper while also 2 GB more + it has very good reviews and for the PSU im gonna need a higher one than 500W / 550. on the website it says for the RX580 '' recommended power supply '' <-- rough translation.
Vereiste stroomtoevoer
  • 500 W
ill probally go for this PSU then
Bequit! PURE POWER 11 600W it around ~85euro's with a Gold 80+ certificate.

and ill save up some more money for the CPU later on then ^^ anyways. once again tyvm. :D

website link for the ''RX 580 8GB '' https://azerty.nl/product/sapphire/2637357/radeon-rx-580-8gb-nitro-grafische-kaart-radeon-rx-580

there were multiple ''versions'' so to say so i suppose this would be the best one.
the website is in Dutch though. im sorry about that.

Hello once again, they have both arrived yesterday. and i tried to ''install'' them both, but i have a problem.

when i tried to disconnect the old PSU i keept getting a few cables i cant remove at all. 3 are like ''
soldering'' together and 1 runs behind the red cable management plating. but i have no idea how to remove it though. i tried to google it but without result.
i managed to find a website that shows exactly what i means with the ''red plating'' Sharkoon VG4-W

the red plating is not removable, that's the frame everything mounts to.

Take off bothe the black side panels and you should be able to snake cables though the holes to tidy things up.
hey :) i was just about to post that i figured it out ^^. it all works and im sitting on a solid 60+ frames on BF5 now
with Vsync off i hit around 70~75 on medium settings. Thank you for the recommandations :D i really appriciate it <3
