I just built a new desktop computer and moved a 4TB hard drive from my old system to this one to use as my storage drive. I have an SSD for my operating system. Since my old system couldn't see anything larger than 2TB, I didn't worry about it as I knew I'd be building this new system.

Anyway, I have been trying to reformat this 4TB drive into a single patition. I understand that in order to do this, I need to change from MBR to GBT. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. When I bring up the disk management window, I can delete the partition but see no way to change to the GBT so I can make one 4TB patition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
In the Disk Management windows right-click on the row header, where the "Disk X" text is, and select "Convert to GPT disk". THIS WILL KILL ALL DATA ON THE DISK!
