Hi there, when playing games, after about 30mins or sometimes It won't happen for a few hours but I always get this error. It's either a driver error "nvidia driver stopped responding and has recovered", screen goes black and it takes me to desktop.
Sometimes my computer will crash (lockup) and I lose video and can't do anything else but hardreboot, (log shows power failure but I still get a driver error for Nvlddmkm (nvidia).

After getting this crash and trying every solution, I formated my pc and I still get the same error.
Do you guys think these driver crash could be the cause of an hardware issue ?

My GPU is a EVGA GTX 570. Thanks for the help.

Hi, Yes I installed the most recent driver from NVidia, I also tried beta drivers and older versions and I still get the same error.

Hi ,

the Gpu is overclocked ?

if not maybe it is time to change
probably is old
too many hours passed in gaming ?

if it is overclocked try to change at stock configuration .

Hi Max, no the GPU is not overclocked, I tried to downclock a bit but same error so now it's back to default clock. Yes I played game alot with this card. Also, my card is about 4 years old, is it normal that I need to replace it after 4 years? thx

Hi ,

4 years and a lot of play

yes it's time to change the Gpu ...

the old gtx 570 may be relegated to another pc to show some pdf and similar ......
( if the error not showing when the gpu is 2d use [not in gaming season] .... )

Sorry
Best Regards
Max

ah ...

last chance :

backup data
re-install the operating system
re-install drivers
recover data

try to play

Ok that's what I thought, thanks for the reply, could you recommend me a GPU that is like my gtx 570 and about 200$ or less.
I think I might go for a Radeon this time.
Thanks

I already tried that, formated my OS drive, reinstalled Windows7, installed all drivers but I still got the crash and driver error. I guess it's time to update my GPU, thanks.

Radeon R9 280 can be a right choice but careful --> psu requirements : 500W (producted by a good brand example Antec, Seasonic or Enermax)

use a Psu calculator on the web for wattage.
