I currently have an XFX R9 280, and at first, I was considering upgrading 4k... But then I realized I'd need $1700 for 4k... (dual 390x, 1200w PSU, and $500 display) SO I looked at 1440p... Would one R9 390X be able to max out games at 1440p or 1080p 144hz? Also what panels would be recommended?
Now I'm contemplating between 1440p and 1080p 144hz. What bumps up in my system would be recommended for each one? I'm currently running on:
Pentium G3258
XFX R9 280 OC'd to 1175 Core Clock and 1525 Memory Clock
8GB of RAM
650W PSU
I'm going to upgrade to
i7-4790k
24GB of RAM
So don't worry about those specs too much...
Please don't recommend Nvidia, I'm not an AMD fanboy, but everyone knows AMD offers better price to performance ratio and money does matter with this upgrade.
