Okay my 1TB hardrive is full just about.
I got another thats a 2TB drive,
im running on windows 7.

Question:
Im wanting to clone the 1tb to the 2tb hardrive, but also have windows regonize the 2tb and not just 1tb.
Is this possible? I know its possible on a CLEAN install as i done it in the past.. but do i have to do a clean install on the 2tb for this to be possible? Or can i still have it reconize 2tb if i CLONE? If so what are the steps i have to take. Thanks!

Solution
Use one of the dozens of cloning programs (My preference, Macrium Reflect)
Then restore cloned image to your new 2tb drive.
It should create a partition identical to the one from your 1TB drive.
You can then go into control panel/computer management/disk management and extend the partition to use the whole of the 2TB. (Right click the partition, click extend and basically click OK several times until done).
Reboot and change the boot order to boot from the 2TB drive first.

EDIT: You will need an external drive to save the image to - you can't clone to either the 1TB or 2TB drives.
