Recently got the Intel 600p M.2 NVMe SSD to go with my existing 2TB HDD but have no clue as to how to make the SSD the boot drive. There was someone on another forum who was trying to do the same thing but it wouldnt work for him. Really lost with it tbh.

Heres the thread to the guy that had problems https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=282001.msg1599533#msg1599533

My M/b: MSI Z270 Gaming M5
Processor: i7-7700k
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Ok, ye, so I've used M.2 Genie on MSI's BIOS, right, and tried to install the os onto the ssd. Thing is, the ssd doesnt show up, all i can shoose from are the hdd and its 4 partitions.

Yeah, I saw it. unless you mean the first part about the original process. Otherwise, not much i could actually do about the M.2 Genie way. I mean i should probably try another time in case i didnt do a step properly.

Ok, yeah i'll try that way out. And btw should i delete the partitions of the hdd (when you choose the drive you install windows on) when i start the clean install or just format them.

if you are talking about the HDD not the SSD make sure all your data is backed up then yh delete the HDD partitions. as i understand it your current OS is on there so when you boot after rebuilding the SSD it would see two OS's so yh delete that. if you mean the SSD then yh feel free to i mean there is currently nothing on it and windfows will format the partitions anyway when you build
