So I recently built a new computer with these components.

CPU: Ryzen 5 4500
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050
Motherboard: MSI b450m-a pro max
Ram: Corsair vengeance RGB 16 gb (2x8) 3200 MHr
Ssd: crucial mx500 500gb
Power supply: Corsair CV650

Some components are from my old computer

And I don't have any signal or USB power. I tried almost everything with the ram, reset the cmos, and some more things. I don't have a beep code or a led to see the problem from.

Before that, is there anything else I could try besides updating the bios, maybe something else is going on?

Something else could be going on also, but there was no way this was ever going to work without a BIOS update unless this was a used motherboard that someone had already updated recently. Most remaining new b450 motherboards are simply leftover stock and this is a CPU that just came out in April; there would be no way for most of these to have the microcode for a CPU that didn't exist until years after manufacture. Unfortunately, you also did not choose a motherboard with a Flashback BIOS function that would allowed you to update without a CPU.

A local shop may be willing to update the BIOS for you. Or you can contact MSI and see if they'll update your motherboard if you ship it back to them.

Alright, i will take it to a shop or something. Thanks for the advice!

I have taken it to a shop and now it works, only one problem, i can't boot from my USB drive even with the priority being set to it and UFIE being on. Also i don't know how to fully wipe the SSD from the bios, secure erase doesn't want to select my drive. What can I do to install windows again?

Sometimes it is the settings in the BIOS. Turn of secure boot, and make sure you set the boot priority to the USB drive first, etc. Once you are booting from that you will be able to delete partitions/format and re-install the OS on your SSD.

Sometimes I've had better luck downloading the ISO and using Rufus to create the install media.

But really it sounds like some BIOS settings to me.
I'll try tomorrow the Rufus option, i think the bios is not at fault so maybe I did something wrong in the windows media creation tool. I'll go to sleep and update you tomorrow.
