Question Need help with oc i5 7600k

Hi there folks!

I really want to oc my i5 7600k, which should be done easily wiith some help. My pc specs are given below. I've never oc something, so this is the first time. I saw some tutorials that you can oc the 7600k to 5 ghz (which is a lot, but i would really liked to). In the bios i oc it to 5ghz and set the voltage to 1.3, when it booted it crashed. I changed the volt and ghz to different settings but it kept crashing while booting. I thought i did something wrong just because there were a lot of options in the bios for overclocking. I also didn't wanted to go further, because i thought it was getting a bit risky what i did. So here i am. How can i oc my i5 7600k pretty high? (preference 5 ghz)

That cooler is not good enough for overclocking.

Your gaming performance will be improved more with a second stick of 8gb ram. running in single channel hurts gaming performance, more so with AMD CPU's but with Intel as well

But i can still oc my cpu just a but like to 4.2 ghz or 4 ghz. That wouldn’t be a problem i think.

edit: I've oc it to 4.5 ghz with a voltage of 1.300. I"m running benchmarks and it seems fine.
