Ok, so I here is my current issue. I built this dope new computer, spent a ton on 3000Mhz ram, and it went down to 2133MHz. (I think? Not using it as asking question) The problem here is that I have the i7 8700k, which I believe is the reason the RAM clocked down to 2133. I've done a bit of reading around and I believe the i7 8700k will work fine with the RAM at 3200MHZ. My motherboard supports 3200MHz, along with other speeds (DDR4-2133 / 2400 / 2666 / 2800 / 3000 / 3200 / 3300 / 3333 / 3400 / 3466 / 3600 / 3733 / 3866 / 4000), but my thing is that I've never done any overclocking. I don't know what is reasonable or not. Would be overclocking 3000MHz RAM to 3200MHz be too extreme? Should I just sell the RAM I have and buy some rated at 3200MHz?
TL;DR- Computer won't work run ram at the rated 3000MHz speed, thinking 3200MHz will work because of components. Overclock possible? Or buy new ram.
Here is the build just in case you need to see anything else.

Thanks!
