Need help with post and CPU

I was on discord the other day and was just talking with friends, all of a sudden the mouse was slow (like 10fps and was lagging) and the discord froze. At first I thought it was a blue screen, so it turned it off. But when booted it up it sounded like a jet engine, and my PC is virtually SILENT. And I tried a few times and again won't boot up. Then I get and error that says 'Error CPU FAN SPEED ERROR- make sure it's plugged in- CPU temperature error' when I turned it off I went to check if it was hot and it was VERY hot. I want help with fixing this. I use a Corsair H115i cooler (it also is turning red) I don't know if that's it, I have the pump header in cpu_fan connector. And the rest as it said in the instructions. Note: I did have XMP on

Sounds to me like the pump went out.
