I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's pretty outdated. The motherboard only supports AM3 CPU's and the current line is AM3+. The power supply is only 22W. And, the case is kind of narrow. All of these things limit your ability to upgrade quite a bit.

What games do you plan on playing?

haha i knew it, i was planning to get a new desktop or build one. but was trying to see if i could switch some parts just to keep gaming for a couple more months until i have enough money to build one. im playing Warrock atm but its not running so good

Yeah, upgrading this one would be a total waste of time and money. Warrock's requirements are pretty low, but playing newer games is pretty much out of the question. If you want help picking out parts for a new PC, I'll be glad to help.

alright, cool. Im planning to play BF4 when i have the built pc. what can you recommend for a build on a budget to run BF4? $600 max? maybe abit more if needed

This one is a tiny bit cheaper, but that's as low as it goes for a 280 that isn't crap.

You may want to wait until Nvidia releases the 960, as it will perform better than the 280 by a large margin and shouldn't cost much more. They've already released the 970 and 980 so it shouldn't be too long.

That 280 will perform well on Bf4 though, anyway. Paired with the i3 you should be able to play on Ultra or close to it.
