need help with setting up with new upgrades

I am swapping out the 3x2GB Ram for 2x4GB G. SKILL DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)Timing 9-9-9-24-2N Cas Latency 9 Voltage 1.5V
I am also adding a WD Blue 250GB SSD.

Here is where I need Help, advice or video on how to's.
After changing out the ram I want to add and install the SSD with my OS as my main drive then NUKE my 1T Hitachi HD and just use that for storage. I want to do this right with out mistakes and what better place to ask but here.

I don't agree with your RAM upgrade. You are investing $50 for 2GB of RAM. I can't support that. I saw 8. I can see the number. The effective upgrade is 2GB at a time when 16GB is quickly becoming the new norm for new builds. Games and many other programs3D CG, many adobe products and other programs are loving the 16GB(or more) amount of RAM.

The OS is much simpler and not simple. The simple side is remove all drives, install SSD and OS disk, start and choose the disc drive as the first boot device in your BIOS(usually spam delete at power-up. The not so simple is that seems too simple. What exactly is hard about your changing drives. Do you want to clone it? Start fresh?

Which operating system are you using?

What is this PC being used for?

Why are you adding the SSD and RAM? How will that(apart from a pure hardware perspective) add value to your build?

Nuking is easy. Download https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download . Install and run it. Click on tools, click on Drive Wiper and choose your options.

Assuming you have your OS in your HDD on its own partition which weighs less than 200GB you can simply clone it onto your SSD with Acronis True Image or other similar software.

After that just make sure your SSD is selected in BIOS as primary boot device, once inside Windows you can format your entire HDD or just the old OS on it.

( this I agree with, for $ reason I only went with 2 new rams with the intent of getting 2 more same ram in a month for a total of 16GB when done. )

The not so simple is that seems too simple. What exactly is hard about your changing drives. ( never did this before and this is all hands on for me )Do you want to clone it? Start fresh? ( Start fresh, with that said, your saying that it would be easier to remove HDD, then install SSD and my OS disk on that, then what? turn PC Off make sure boot is on SSD , put old HDD back and then wipe old HDD with CCleaner to which I already use and then My SSD will be primary and HDD will be storage? )

What is this PC being used for? ( mostly video editing ( multi applications ) but some gaming ( Sniper Elite 3 )

Why are you adding the SSD and RAM? How will that(apart from a pure hardware perspective) add value to your build? ( ( ( Some increase in processing speed wile using muti video editing software, taking current MB to MAX with out OCing or changing processer. )
