hello

I want to SLI my MSI Ventus 2080 ti GP edition.
I own an ASUS ROG x570-E motherboard. MSI Ventus 2080 ti GP supports 2-way SLI.
what is a 2 way SLI and how to do it?
secondly, I searched for MSI SLI bridge, it says my GPU should be in 1st and 4th slot, what does that mean?

Solution
2 way SLi is using 2 gpu’s and 3 way is 3 gpu’s, that’s it. 4 way is no longer supported. Using slots 1 and 4 will mean using the pcie slot closest to the cpu (1) and the 4th slot from the cpu. These slots will likely be a faster pcie than the others and maximise space between gpu, often the top gpu runs hotter due to poorer airflow.

As for enabling SLi for rendering I assume it’s the same as gaming and you enable it in NVidia control panel and that your program needs to support it. I have never used it for rendering, only gaming many years ago.

Thank you so much for the explanation.
I really appreciate it.
But my motherboard has only 3 GPU slots.
so, I have to place gpu's in 1st and 2nd slot, right?
