I have MSI GL63 8RD ( https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GL63-8RD/Specification ), I want to upgrade SSD with Samsun 980 1TB but I'm not sure if it is compatible.

Samsung 980 -
https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-Inter...9&hvtargid=pla-1187972384534&ext_vrnc=hi&th=1

After lot of research I think it is compatible. but I just need an expert to tell me. (coz I'm spending lot of money here. )

I'm also upgrading RAM

Crucial 16GB RAM -
https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-Basic...9&hvtargid=pla-934253091028&psc=1&ext_vrnc=hi

any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks..

Hey thanks for replying

Currently I have 8GB, DDR4 2666 MHz. Manufacturer : SK Hynix
&
I'm not mixing RAMs. I'm gonna remove existing one & add 2x16GB Sticks

I ran Crucial System Scanner it's showing: 3200MHz is compatible. I don't know how accurate is it ( https://www.crucial.com/scanview/863FCB1F31D926C3 ).

What should I do ?,
Not many users need more than 16GB of ram.
If your sure you need more go with a 32GB kit.

The ssd should fit.

Ram....what's in the machine now?
It's hit and miss when you mix ram sticks.
Run this scanner and see what it says.
