Hello everyone, so ive been spending the past few days slaving over my brand new 8350..and its been fun. I read a bunch of guides but it wasnt til I found THIS and wrote my own guide based of it and another, that I really began to understand it. Now I have spent hours finding all my maxes im a little confused. How do I tie them together? Well specifically my Fsb/multi ocs.

I found that my multi max that I really like was 23.5 at 1.46v with high-ultra high llc.

I found that my fsb max seemed to be 245 ( I might revisit that considering reading the bulldozer oc guide, he mentions raising nb vols) at 1.41 volts with high llc. 4.7 and 4.5 ghz respectively. What im confused about is how to successfully marry those to get my max oc? Im going to keep my ram at 1600(about) cause even with 13-13-13-33 at 1866 ramtest really didnt like it. At 1740 it was fine so I have a bit of wiggle room, but I noticed that the ram transfer speed was about 1000m/B higher at 1600 with 9-9-9-24 than at 1866, so not sure if its really worth it til I can afford some 1866 or higher ram.

But yea any help would be greatly appreciated, Im a little stuck at the moment. On the rog site he says give yourself about 10% that would be a ridiculous oc, so what would be a good place to start, Ive tried doing a bit of testing (sitting on the desktop at 4.5 ghz with 205 and 22) any higher it doesnt seem to like it. Im not really sure. With my 965 be I inda just brute forced it because I have an xspc rs 240 kit cooling my cpu. But Id like to try and get better voltages this time. Id love to get to 4.8-5.0ghz

Thanks johnnyb I doubt ill really try to oc my ram though. The linustech tips on helped quite a bit actually though. I actually tried 10% and my earlier assessment was a bit off, 10% of both equals 4.7 ghz. So I tried 4.5-4.6, got it stable and am now working on 4.7(just started) hopefully I can take it a bit higher, but with a voltage ceiling of 1.5 at 1.46 I dont have a ton of wiggle room. One thing wrong with this board is you can only adjust the vcore in set increments imo the stupidest thing ive ever heard. I mean i doubt I need 1.46 to run 4.7 but Ill never know cause it jumps from 1.43 to 1.46. Hopefully with some tweaking I can get to 5 ghz, but if I cant, this 8350 feels really just snappy at 4.8 so ill settle with that for sure!

Thanks for the help guys, I think I might have a handle on it who knows when tons of stuff can go awry but we shall see lol.

Edit: Oh yeah if you interested I got 4.7 so far with a multi of 22.5 and cpu clock of 220 at 4.6 v with ultra high llc jumps to 1.488 so we shall see if I can reach the 5ghz mark. Doubtful but ill settle with another 70mhz to bring it to 4.8!
