The latest firmware version for the Samsung G9 monitor is 1010.2 My version is 1009.0 I downloaded the latest version from Samsung on a 16GB SanDisk flash drive. But, the monitor always says it cannot find software. I tried a different 16GB flash drive and it didn`t work either.
Anyone out there with G9 monitors have a fix for this?

Solution
If the downloaded file is an .exe file it's very likely a self-extracting archive so you need to double-click that first to extract the files within it.
Then copy those extracted files to the flash drive.

Firmware updates might require a different approach.
Please read the manual.

In my case, (I own a ViewSonic monitor), to update the firmware I had to connect the monitor to the PC using a USB-A to USB-B cable.
The USB-B connector had to be inserted in the monitor.

The instructions for mine is to insert the flash drive in the monitor. That`s all it says.
