Need help with upgrading my PC

Hi, I'm interested in upgrading my PC and I've been saving some money for a new graphics card. I just want to (if possible) get a better fps in some games without spending so much cash. Now, I'm interested in buying MSI nvidia GTX 1060 6gb, but I don't know if my current build is good enough to support it without any issues. Here are my specs:

RAM: 8GB
processor : Intel i5-4590 3.30 Ghz
graphics card: Sapphire Radeon r9 280x 3gb GDDR5
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z97-P
Power supply: Cooler Master G650M 650W
