Hey guys,

I'm looking for a wi-fi router
but i have very little idea about it,

I asked my ISP and they said that N150mbps router is best suited for me
I went around looking for routers,
and i have these two in my mind

D-Link DIR-600M N150 Wireless RouterProduct Link
and
D-Link DSL-2750U Wireless N ADSL2 4-Port Wi-Fi RouterProduct Link

The SPEEDTEST results came as

  • PING- 40ms
    DOWNLOAD SPEED- 0.74Mbps
    UPLOAD SPEED- 0.25Mbps

1>Which do you think suites me?

----Wi-Fi router's for home purpose.
----i need to use Wi-Fi only for smartphones.

----I have a modem which is connected (through a wire) to a device fitted on the rooftop
the device is similar to a satellite dish
I think its called WiMAX connection(i'm not sure).

My PC specs are

  • CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965
    MOTHERBOARD - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P LINK

SOME OTHER DOUBTS

  • 1> Is there any difference between the terms DSL and DIR mentioned in the names of the router?
2> There are some differences in connectivity(see specs) with the regard to the two routers mentioned.
will it have any effects in my case.
3> I regularly use Tunnelbear app (VPN) in my smartphone using data charges. But there are differences between the two routers under VPN in specs. Can i still use the app when on wi-fi?
