need help with wifi

so i have my internet conected to my pc via wired connection
so can i buy a wifi card and install it in me pc and then use the wired connection as wifi if i want?
my specs are
-mb p81
-500 gb drive
-8 gb ram hyper x black
-gtx 730
-core i 5 4440

Why not just stay using a wired connection?

you could buy a wirelees card and use both wired and wireless but speed wont be greater then the you pay your isp provider for , we usualy use wireless to spare or if you dont have acces to wired .

OP are you asking if you can make the wireless adapter acts a software based AP? Or are you asking if you can get your wired connection to become wireless? if the latter then you're going to need your main connection feed into an access point(AP) or a wireless router and then with your wireless card get wifi on your desktop.

yes i want to make my wired connection become wireless like i use the wired internet to use the wifi card as a hot spot

Why not just stay using a wired connection?

insted of buying a new router and things like that i can just put the wifi card and connect the wired net work connection to the pc to use the it on the wifi card
so ya turning me pc from wired to wifi and vice versa if i want

my router is not wireless what am i saying its provoding network to me pc so maybe if i install the wifi card it will provode intrnet to the card too so i can go wired and wireless

you could not do this the wireless card need to receive signal from a wireless router .
