Need help

Sir,

I purchsed a PC a four months ago .My processor is if AMD Sempron 140 2.71 GHz.
Mother board is Giga Byte,NVDIA
Ram 1 GB
Hard disk 250 MB .

Some times my system slows down and the programs does n't work until I restart it.Why?
*Is the problem is with processor?
* Is the processor is lower compared to Intel Dual core?
* What are the AMD processors released after AMD Sempron 140 ?

Please help me.

Can you run task manager to see if something is hogging the CPU or RAM when this happens?
Look for the applications with the highest CPU and Memory usage in the process tab.

It sounds like there may be a malfunctioning program or service, or possibly a virus. What kind of antivirus software do you use? It could also be some kind of automatic backup, update, scan, or who knows what... task manager will help you out there. (Hit ctrl-alt-del to open it)

It's not going to be a problem with your processor unless you simply have a low-end computer and higher-end needs. Your processor isn't broken. If it was, the system wouldn't start at all.
The Sempron is a low-performance single core processor. Compared to Intel's current dual-cores, it's modest. It's still plenty for what you probably use it for, though: Web browsing, word processing, office apps, or for movie and music playback.

In AMD's lineup, you've got the Sempron on the bottom, then the Athlon II (in dual and quad core varieties) and the Phenom II at the top. Your motherboard might be compatible with all of these CPUs. Find the model number and search for it or let us investigate for you.

I checked the Performance using task manager At restart of my system is: CPU usage :0%- 2 % . PF usage295 MB

While using This just one site vark in browser CPU usage :0%- 4 % . PF usage 350 MB

while MS word,blue voda,browser, VLC player is CPU usage :0%-5 % . PF usage 441 MB

* And I used to clean my PC regularly using glary utilities,ccleaner * I also have memory improve master installed . It shows 32% of memory usage at only OS running and 42 -65 % of memory usage at other programs running . Paging file usage is 15 % -19 % and CPU usage is 2-9 %

memory usage reading in this memory Improve master is some times 65% If I use 4-7 tabs in my firefox browser.

As I said before I purchsed it a 3 months ago and the hard disk using now is 160 of GB for temporary purpose.Actual Hard disk purchased with this system is of 250 GB(seagate SATA)and is at service center .

As I am using new hard disk now ,It has a original OS installed which is installed recently a 10 ago.

I used to install the OS frequently In other hard disk too (250 GB which I explained above),As It is used to give trouble frequently.At that time too I faced this slowness problem.

The programs using the highest memory are my browser firefox with memory usage 141,168 K.And all other are very less. Some programs over 20000 k are *RTHDCPL.EXE (22588 K),explorer.exe 25140 K.
*Currently I have no slowness problem ,But some time It's hapening.

Currently I am using Quickheal and used AVG ,avast earlier.

Yes Some times I used to open more than 4 windows like Ms word,media player,Browser.But some times Even I use only the browser it causes me the problem like hangup .Today morning too I faced the same problem when I used to browse the web(I use it very quickly without giving the gap).

I want to use my system for photo editing, multimedia programs ,web developing in coming future .My sempron processor supports it?

My Main board's model is M61PME-S2P

ChipSet NVIDIA MCP61

Graphics :NVIDIA GE force 6150SE 256 MB


What is cache? Is it comes with RAM ?
